02Filtration system

Five barriers in series

Each stage is specified for a defined contaminant class. Nothing is asked to do two jobs, which is why resistance stays predictable and service intervals stay long.

01Cassette architecture

Indexed, front-access, tool-free

Exploded view of the ABI-GAIL X33 filter cassettes and panels

Positions

Keyed slots prevent a cassette being fitted out of sequence.

Sealing

Perimeter gasket on every cassette — no bypass around the media.

Access

Front bay opens without tools and without breaking the duct connection.

S1Stage 1 of 5

Baffle separation

The first barrier is purely mechanical. Air is accelerated through opposed channels; heavy droplets cannot follow the direction change and are thrown into the collection trough.

Target
Bulk grease · sparks
Media
Stainless 304 opposed baffles
Service
Washable — weekly

S2Stage 2 of 5

Multi-mesh pre-filter

Successively finer mesh layers give the aerosol repeated impact surfaces. Droplets coalesce, drain down the mesh face and leave the airstream.

Target
Fine aerosol
Media
Layered woven stainless mesh

Washable — 2 weeks

S3Stage 3 of 5

High-efficiency panel

A graded-density panel captures the smoke solids and residual fat that mechanical stages cannot reach, holding load without a step change in resistance.

Target
Sub-micron particulate
Media
Progressive-density synthetic media

S4Stage 4 of 5

Deep-bed activated carbon

Volatile organic compounds are adsorbed into an extended internal surface area. This is the stage that removes the smell of the kitchen, not just the haze.

Target
Odour · VOCs
Media
Granular activated carbon in honeycomb cassette
Service
Replace — 6 to 12 months

Oxidation polish

The final stage breaks down whatever survived the bed, so discharged air is neutral at the outlet and stays neutral downstream.

Target
Residual organics
Media
